GEICO officially opened its new Tampa campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Corporate Oaks Business Park, marking a major milestone in the company’s continued expansion in Florida.

The new 190,000-square-foot campus includes three buildings and supports GEICO’s plans to create 1,500 new jobs in Tampa. More than 500 positions have already been filled, and the company expects to hire another 500 employees through 2026, with additional growth anticipated in 2027.

GEICO, which announced its Florida expansion plans in March 2025, is hiring for roles in insurance sales, service, claims, and leadership development. The company has also partnered with University of Tampa and University of South Florida to recruit local talent.

Company leaders highlighted Tampa’s strong workforce and business climate as key reasons for the expansion. GEICO currently employs about 4,400 people across Florida, including offices in Tampa, Lakeland, and Jacksonville.

The company has also strengthened its community presence through partnerships with the Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce and the Tampa Bay Economic Development Council, along with sponsorships of local organizations and sports teams.
