NetJets, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, is advancing construction of a new exclusive-use terminal at Augusta Regional Airport. The project marks a major investment in the region and underscores the company’s commitment to delivering a premium travel experience for its customers.
Visitors arriving this April for golf’s most iconic championship will already see progress on the site, including a completed aircraft ramp and structural foundations. The 432,000-square-foot private ramp is expected to be fully operational in time for the 2026 tournament.
NetJets President Patrick Gallagher emphasized Augusta’s importance as a destination for customers, noting that the new facility is designed to enhance both travel and the overall event experience. Beyond flights, NetJets continues to offer exclusive hospitality, including access to premium tournament experiences and its signature “Friday Night” event hosted by sports commentator Jim Nantz.
Demand for private aviation to Augusta has surged in recent years. In 2025, NetJets operated nearly 580 flights tied to the tournament—a 34% increase over the previous year—with travelers coming from 36 states. Looking ahead, the company expects as many as 775 flights during the 2026 event, coinciding with the tournament’s 90th anniversary.
The growth extends beyond tournament week. Annual NetJets flight demand at Augusta has risen significantly, with the company now accounting for a notable share of departures. According to airport leadership, the new terminal will boost economic activity, create jobs, and elevate service standards.
Once completed, the facility will feature luxury lounges, private meeting spaces, and advanced customer services, along with a dedicated ramp for efficient and discreet aircraft handling. The development is also part of NetJets’ broader expansion strategy to ease congestion and improve access across key Southeastern U.S. airports.
With this investment, NetJets continues to strengthen its leadership in private aviation while enhancing the travel experience at one of golf’s most celebrated destinations.
