BHSI Promotes Two Leaders in Healthcare Professional Liability Business

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has promoted two leaders within its Healthcare Professional Liability business to support the continued growth of its Healthcare Institutions portfolio.

Effective immediately, Jarek Chmielowski has been named Healthcare Institutions Portfolio Manager, where he will lead portfolio strategy, underwriting performance and market expansion across the United States. Greg Struhar has been promoted to National Underwriting Manager, Healthcare Institutions, reporting to Chmielowski. In his new role, Struhar will oversee national underwriting execution and work with underwriting teams nationwide to deliver specialized solutions and service to customers and brokers.

“Jarek and Greg are leaders who have each played an important role in the growth and success of our Healthcare business,” said Leo Carroll, Head of U.S. Healthcare at BHSI. “Together, they will help further strengthen our capabilities and continue delivering the responsive service, expertise and long-term value our customers and broker partners expect from BHSI.”

BHSI’s U.S. Healthcare Professional Liability business provides tailored insurance solutions for a broad range of healthcare risks, including hospitals and health systems, long-term care providers, managed care organizations, physician groups, allied health providers and life sciences organizations.
